da Vinci Society of Delaware’s Grants:

Over the years, the Societa’ da Vinci has awarded grants that support our mission of promoting and advancing the rich cultural heritage of the Italian people through education, service, charity and community events. All of the funds raised by the Societa’ da Vinci goes directly back into our community through our grants program.

A few of the notable grants include:

  • Sending children from the city Wilmington, DE to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island
  • Student exchange program between students from St Marks High School in Wilmington, Delaware and students from Girardi Institute in Padua, Italy
  • The Bellanca Aviation Museum New Castle, DE
  • Wilmington Friends Of Italian Culture
  • Restoration cost to Columbus Monument in downtown Wilmington, DE
  • Opera Delaware—financial assistance for the production of local opera, “Agostino and Puccini’s Magical Clarinet”
  • Italian History Month at St Anthony of Padua School in Wilmington, DE
  • Family assistance grant to a family with two autistic children
  • Partial Scholarships to the University of Delaware
  • Family assistance grants to families with severe economic hardships
  • Family assistance to Delaware – National Guard members and families who have suffered a financial hardship as a result of serving in the Military.
  • Partial Scholarship to La Salle University
  • Supported the study abroad trip to Italy for the Culinary Arts and Food Service Management Students from Delaware Technical & Community College
  • Supported students traveling to Italy for Italian Language studies
  • Italian Language Camps
  • Educational assistance for the children of pilot that died in the 9/11 attack
  • Financial assistance for Michael Di Lauro’s documentary “Prisoners Among Us”
  • Financial assistance to the earthquake victims in L’Aquila, Italy
  • Financial assistance for the Wilmington’s Children’s Choir to travel and perform in Europe
