Vendemmia Press Release

Ladies and Gentleman!

The Societá da Vinci will be holding its 15th Annual Vendemmia da Vinci celebration as an indoor event at the Christiana Hilton on October 28, 2018 from 3:00PM to 7:00PM. We are a 501 (c)3 charitable organization which awards several grants and scholarships each year. These include Little Sisters of the Poor, Delaware National Guard, St. Anthony’s School, Delaware Boys and Girls Club, St. Marks High School, Music School of Delaware and ARIANNA. We have also given family assistance grants to local families in need. We provide an annual $10,000 scholarship in conjunction with NIAF and a $20,000 ($5,000 per year) to Wilmington University. Annually, these have amounted to approximately $28,000 to the community.

The planning and logistics involved with the outdoor venues that would accommodate a “rain or shine” date made it very difficult to allow for this to continue. Therefore, we have reduced the number of our fund-raising events from two (Primavera in the spring) to only one (Vendemmia Wine & Food Celebration).

Vendemmia Da Vinci….is and always has been a Fund-Raising Event.  We are confident that you will experience great value for the ticket price and you will be contributing towards our continued philanthropic efforts.

This year’s event is being held indoors at the newly renovated Christiana Hilton Hotel and there will be activities both inside and outside in their beautiful courtyard.   We anticipate this year’s Vendemmia to be a wonderful event with great entertainment by The Smooth Sounds Steve Silicato, Andrea Arena and Ralph Salerno. We will have four local Celebrity Chefs preparing their signature gourmet menus along with several wine and beer selections. There will be a silent auction with several wonderful items including 2 exciting trips to Alaska and Tuscany!  Again…. all to raise funds to help our Charitable Grants and Scholarships to those in need!!

We look forward to you joining us for this unique, memorable and charitable afternoon!

Ci vediamo a presto! We look forward to seeing you soon!
